As a photographer based in Rouen, Normandy, I photographed Laurent Delaporte making cider with his grandfather's press. He lives in Emanville, not far from Rouen in Normandy. Laurent uses a traditional method where the apple pulp is pressed gradually, in several steps overnight, releasing a maximum amount of flavour. Each cider maker produces a beverage that is unique to his orchard. Artisanal ciders are typically very fizzy with powerful aromas.
